Round stones

Our standard for size gradations is one tenth of a millimeter with a tolerance range of five hundredths of a millimeter. For example: 2.00-2.05 mm, 2.10-2.15 mm, 2.20-2.25 mm, and so on. Other tolerance ranges can be produced on request.

Shapes

All non-round shapes, such as square, trapezoid, oval etc., are custom-cut to order according to specifications, such as exact size, height, or a drawing with angle-measurements.

Colors

Sapphires are available in blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, and violet. Within each color, there are various shades ranging from light to dark, although not all shades may always be available. Upon request, we would be happy to provide you with the available color tones.

Clarity

Unlike rubies, we primarily use stones whose inclusions, if present, are either not visible to the naked eye or barely noticeable.

Treatments

Most sapphires on the market have been heat-treated to improve their color and transparency. For many of the yellow and orange sapphires, beryllium has been added during the heating process to achieve the desired color.
